Straw Hat Farm has big plans for 2012 spring /summer! Currently, our days are full of tilling, transplanting, seeding, watering, and weeding! The garlic is looking great, and we are anticipating a good harvest! This area is experiencing a drought; we are thankful we’ve had enough water to keep our farm going. The Montrose Farmer’s Market (outdoors) is open for the season and happens each Saturday, through October, rain or shine, in downtown Montrose, on South 1st Street. The hours are 8:30 to 1:00, and you can find us there each week with a wide variety of produce, eggs, and baked goods!

We are happily participating, for the third year, in the Winter Farmer’s Market, held in downtown Montrose. The Market is open on the first and third Saturdays of each month, November through April! The hours are 10:00 – 1:00. The Market has a new location this year, having outgrown our previous one. You will find us in the former Montrose City Council Chambers, in Centennial Plaza, which is located between Main Street and South 1st Street, on Uncompahgre. Watch for the signs! A nice variety of vendors are participating this year. We have potatoes, garlic and garlic accessories, winter squash, beets, fresh eggs, as well as wholesome baked goods such as breads, muffins, granola, rolls, and pies – all made with organic flours and grains! Come see us! Call us at 970-765-6552 if you need more information.
